3 steps that can help you find your life goals
Posted by : Amanda Sparks on May 12,2017 08:44 PM
Every fifth person hates his job but spends a significant part of his life at work. In order not to become one of these people, use a simple technique that helps you understand your abilities and understand what you are aiming for.Any person has his vocation, there are no exceptions. Everyone has the ability to do business, in which he can best show himself. The problem is that it's not so easy to understand what kind of thing it is. In fact, until you try, you do not.
Psychologist Alexander Ray offers a technique from three steps: awareness, direction, and action. I will briefly tell about it.
Everything worthwhile was found thanks to the method of three steps. Even without realizing it, by trial and error people themselves go through these three steps and build their own lives.
Step 1. Awareness
There will be no changes in your life until one day you wake up with the thought that it's time to change something. In order not to wait for this beautiful day, you can act smarter - ask yourself the right questions.
We need to start with three main questions:
What is wrong with life and in you?
What does not suit you?
What and how exactly would you like to change?
And here is the first exercise. Write 3-5 points for each sphere in your life. If nothing comes to your head at once, think about as many points as you need.
What does not suit you and what do you want to change?
In relations with a partner: __________
In relations in the family: __________
In relations with children: __________
In relations with parents: __________
In work: __________
In your prosperity: __________
In own character: __________
In his body: __________
In a state of health: __________
This list is your starting point. Ray advises from time to time to contact him to monitor progress and remind yourself which areas of your life require change.
Step 2. Direction
One realization that there are things in your life that you do not like is not enough. It is necessary to understand what to do with this fact further. At this moment it is important to find the right direction.
One possible option, about which Rey tells, is the search for the destination through action. When you do not know what you want to do, try everything at random, one day you'll be lucky. However, this takes too much time and resources.
Another way is to connect your own experience. To do this, perform a simple exercise.
1. What would you do if you were rich?
Imagine that you are indecently rich. You can write down this amount - the amount of money you need to feel fully secured. You are so rich that you can do whatever your heart desires.
Write down five cases for which you would undertake. But this should be the case (and not idle lessons like "lying on the ocean"), requiring your participation. Your goal is to come up with a job that will make you happier.
__________
__________
__________
__________
__________
2. What would you do if you were poor?
And now let's go from the opposite. Imagine that you were fired and you have absolutely no means of subsistence. Think of five classes that you can earn your living. Please note that this is your chance to start with a clean slate, so choose things to your liking.
__________
__________
__________
__________
__________
3. What activities make you happier?
And the last task. Write five favorite things that you are willing to do for hours at a time. List your hobbies and hobbies, inaction does not count.
__________
__________
__________
__________
__________
In these three lists, the correct course is hidden. Reread them carefully again and decide where you will go.
Step 3. Action
The most important stage. Without it, the two previous steps will remain just dreams. Choosing a direction will help you set specific goals. Goals are broken down into concrete actions. And act.
Remember, the only required thing is a measured daily work, supported by tiny but real steps.
